The Almost rolled into Minneapolis for a show at First Avenue on October 14th. I was lucky to get a chance to talk to the chill crew before they played for fans, who are highly anticipating the upcoming release of The Almost’s second album, “Monster, Monster.” It was fun to see the personalities behind the talented band and hear more about their excitement for “Monster, Monster.” I also got to hear how they feel about being an example of Christ as musicians.
The Almost played a fantastic show. Energetic and intense, singer Aaron Gillespie got the crowd involved right away. They didn’t hesitate to get their hands up for new song “Hands” and even swayed and got out their lighters and cell phones for the new song “Monster” as the band slowed it down at the end. As expected, The Almost also rocked favorites from the first album like, “Say This Sooner” and “Southern Weather.”
